Correspondence of Sir Charles Lock Eastlake and family, 1833-1896.

The collection consists primarily of the correspondence of Charles Eastlake with various individuals, including many British artists, mostly regarding his work for the Fine Arts Commission (established to provide for the decoration of the Houses of Parliament), together with some correspondence of his wife and several letters of his nephew. The collection also includes prints and miscellaneous biographical information. With two letters of Robert Inglis to John Zephaniah Bell and a letter of Harold J. Stanley to Henry Mogford.
